(Spencer)– A new exhibit class this year in the Clay County Fair Textiles, Crafts and Arts Department will be a step back in time. The new class, “Bring Back The Roaring 20’s”, will feature textiles, crafts and arts reminiscent of that time period.
Several new competitions will be featured, including heritage scrapbooks, fused glass, machine embroidery on knits, loom knitting, traditional rug hooking with wool and molded and hand thrown pottery. A variety of others can be entered under several different classes such as needlework, painting, crochet, quilting, patchwork, garment making, woodworking and computer-generated work.
There are no entry fees and you do not need to be a resident of Clay county to enter.
A number of demonstrations will also be featured this year at the Creative Learning Center.
The Clay County Fair will be held September 11th-19th.
