Those of you who have been watching the Olympics on television might have noticed UK diver and recent Olympic Gold medalist Tom Daly doing something rather unusual for an athlete while he was watching his compatriots compete – knitting
In fact, Daly has been a prolific knitter for quite a while now as his Instagram page madewithlovebytomdaley can attest.
But during his stint at Tokyo 2020, he came up with quite the masterpiece – a cardigan with the teamgb logo and a flag and GBR on the shoulders. He even embroidered the word ‘TOKYO’ in Japanese.
Daly said that learning to knit and crochet has helped me so much through the Olympics After him and his team member Matty Lee won gold, he made a little medal case too.
Daly does not only knit for himself, but for his friends’ pets too.
What talent… we think he deserves a Gold in knitting too!
